FLICKR FRIDAY: Beatriz S. González Jiménez

A new Flickr Friday that puts another talent in our spotlight. This time it’s Beatriz, an architect living and working in Madrid. Architecture is her passion, photography is a way to create her own world.

She started taking photos because in her younger years, she was always surrounded by huge photo albums from her father. Because of that, she became much more aware of the fact that a photograph is much more than a tool, or the memory of a moment. It’s a way to tell stories, talk about the portrayed things either if it is a person, a place or a thing. Beatriz puts a lot herself in her pictures, but the viewer can read their own story in them.

In the series that we are showing, Beatriz tried to talk about the grandeur of nature, not only by showing the immensity of a desert landscape. She creates a story about giant camels and children around them.
